THE FACTS ABOUT LOW-COST TERM LIFE INSURANCE

Many insurance companies claim to have the lowest long-term guaranteed rates for term life insurance. However, qualifying for these "best" rates is another story.

For instance, any family history of heart disease or cancer may exclude you from receiving the best rate. A recent diagnostic doctor's visit or recent hospital stay will probably disqualify you, as well. And, if you have a history of cigar or pipe smoking, many companies have much higher smoking rates that will apply.

Although many insurance agents quote the "best" rates up front, you'll probably find that higher rates end up replacing them unless you're in excellent health. So it's essential to work with someone who knows the insurance market and can select the proper insurance company and policy to fulfill your life insurance requirements.
